"Songs delivered in an honest and musically impeccable manner."

Picture
Brian Dales
vocals & guitar

For Brian, perfecting this music has been a lifelong quest, re-learning how to play the guitar in order to mimic Taylor's truly original playing style. He does this in a way which is at once impressive yet effortless. Couple that with a voice which "mirrors that of the man himself" and an infectious wit and you have an un-rivalled evening's entertainment.

Emma Pryde
vocals & piano

Emma has a wealth of professional performing experience from theatre and cruise ships to pop bands around the country. She grew up with a family love of the music of Carole King and James Taylor, her father teaching her 'You've Got A Friend' when she was just 10! Getting a project like this together really has been a dream come true for Emma!

"The band were simply amazing. It will be a night long-remembered."

Jon Chamberlain
keyboards

Jon is no stranger to the big event having worked with big names such as Jack Jones, Matt Monro Jnr, Gloria Gaynor and Jackie Graham, and on many touring musicals. Nothing however had prepared him for how much he would enjoy playing this music alongside the others in Sweet Baby James.

Jenny Smith
vocals & flute

Jenny is an extremely versatile and sensitive vocalist and her natural flair and musicality is an asset to Sweet Baby James. When she isn't singing with the show Jenny can be found running her jazz quintet and teaching singing at Leeds College of Music.

Bruce Reid
bass

The most recent addition to the show is our bass player and Bruce seems to enjoy every minute! He has tons of experience having played with acoustic outfit Watercress for 8 years, touring much of the world and supporting names such as The Levellers, Duran Duran and Ian Dury. These days he works as session player and composer out of Calderdale.

Katie Patterson
drums & percussion

Right from when Katie first joined the show we all knew she was the right drummer for the gig. Her feel for the music is second to none and her enjoyment of the show is always apparent. Katie is always at home behind a drum kit, whether playing the most sensitive of ballads or rocking out to Queen!

Hope to see you at a show soon!
